In today’s competitive world, it is hard to stand out from the rest of the pack. Honestly, there are too many of us service-providers out there, each of us having our own unique expertise, experiences, and methods of delivering results. All of us dedicated to serve and help people improve with integrity, honesty, and love. But how do you get noticed amidst all the other service-providers? How do you get your voice heard amid all the background noise?
For those who are just starting out, it may be daunting to even start at all. But this is just a challenge to overcome. It may not be an easy feat but it is possible to rise above the competition and attract soulmate clients. Just follow these 5 steps to becoming the breakout service-provider.
Stop filtering yourself
Whatever it is that you believe in your heart of hearts, say it. Be it. Live it. The constant cookie-cutter posts that talk about surface-level shit is never going to make anyone see you. A coaching relationship is similar to any other kind of relationship. If you pretend to be someone else you are not from the get go, then you are starting a relationship under false pretenses.
People will sense if you are not being your true, authentic self to them. Don’t try to be someone else that you’re not. You can only be who you are and trust me, people will love you for it.
Reach out to your soulmate clients and invest heavily in their success.
There are a lot of coaches who talk about attracting clients; meanwhile, I create clients.
None of my current clients were actually looking for a coach when they hired me. I didn’t wait around for them to come to me. I showed them the seemingly impossible goals that I can help them achieve when they start working with me, and they were SOLD on the results I promised and decided to invest in working together.
So if you notice someone is paying attention to you, reach out to them and give them an opportunity to work with you… given that they are a good match, of course. This way, you don’t have to worry about competing with other coaches and you can focus on more worthwhile things, such as improving yourself and your program and building your business further.
Speak Your Truth
There are so many experts that only focus on the technical side of things. However, if you want to be a truly powerful service-provider, you need to strip off the facade and reveal who you really are. Show them through your lifestyle – not just your words. People need to see you that you are practicing what you have been preaching. How credible would you be if you say one thing then do the opposite?
When clients hire you, they are not just hiring you for what you promise you can do for them, but they are hiring you for the whole package. They are hiring you because of your personality, your achievements, and your knowledge. Being a success coach myself, I wouldn’t be credible if I wasn’t a success story myself. How would people believe that I can help make them successful if I can barely do it for myself?
Specialize in your chosen area of expertise
I cannot stress this ENOUGH. You have to know the ins and outs of your chosen field in order to help out your clients.
Let’s say you have a health issue that you want to get checked out, you wouldn’t just listen to the medical advice of some random stranger, right? Of course, you would seek out a medical specialist who is an expert on your specific problem.
Just like with coaching, people are not just looking for generic and possibly uninformed solutions. They are looking for an expert who could deliver comprehensive, valuable, and individualized results that resonate so deep with their experiences and problems. That’s how you build strong working relationships with your soulmate clients.
It’s all in the marketing
No, I am not going to go all technical on you and discuss super-complicated marketing plans, although this would be a necessity further down the line. You need to get the word out about your awesome self and how good you are at helping people. While you’re at it, make sure that all your marketing initiative captures your voice, abilities, and offerings clearly. This is where your authenticity will come in handy as the clearer you are about who you are what you are offering, the easier it would be to market yourself effectively.
Being a powerful and successful service-provider is certainly not going to be easy. You have to work hard at it and believe that you can do it. Yes, there will be a lot of hiccups along the way. You will make mistakes. You might meet resistance from the people around you. But learn to be easy on yourself. Learn to forgive yourself and others. Trust that everything’s possible with hard work, constant self-improvement, and perseverance. After all, you wouldn’t be able to help your clients through difficult times if you haven’t experienced them for yourself.
